What playing it feels like

  • Driven by questions and prompts. The conversation is the game.
  • Loud: people talk, act, sing or shout, and the app keeps the secrets and the score.
  • Plays well on a video call — the talking happens on camera and the app does the rest.
  • Nothing to explain. Start it and go.

Good for

  • Groups of 3 to 12
  • Big groups, where most games run out of seats
  • A video call, with everyone on their own screen

Maybe skip when

  • You are somewhere that needs to stay quiet

Who Knows Best? is the how-well-do-you-know-me game, refereed. One player is in the seat; a question about them goes up — "Where would Priya rather go on holiday?" — with three or four answers. They pick the true one in secret, and everybody else picks what they think they picked. Then the reveal.

It is the game every occasion already plays on paper: the shoe game at a sangeet, "who knows the bride best" at a bridal shower, "who knows mum-to-be" at a baby shower, the quiz about a colleague at their farewell. On phones, nobody has to collect answer slips or read them out, and nobody can change their answer after they hear someone else’s.

Take turns in the seat, or the host can make every question about one person for the night. A right guess scores for the guesser and for the person in the seat — being easy to read pays too — and at the end the app tells you who really knows whom.

How to play Who Knows Best?

  1. 1Create a room and share the code. Who Knows Best? is for 3 to 12 players; the host picks the occasion pack.
  2. 2Each round one player is in the seat and a question about them goes up with three or four answers.
  3. 3The player in the seat picks the true answer in secret. Everyone else picks what they think the seat picked. Nobody sees anyone’s answer until all are in.
  4. 4Reveal: every right guess scores a point for the guesser and a point for the player in the seat.
  5. 5The seat moves on each round — or the host can make every question about one person, for a bride or a mum-to-be. Highest score knows best.

Who Knows Best? FAQ

Can every question be about one person, like at a bridal shower?

Yes. The host uses "All about one person" and picks the bride, the mum-to-be or the birthday star, and every question from then on is about them. "Take turns again" puts the seat back into rotation.

Which question packs are there?

Friends, family and birthdays, the couple (for a sangeet, an engagement or a bridal shower), mum-to-be (for a baby shower), the bride-to-be, and a colleague (for a farewell). They are all family-friendly.

Can people see the answer before guessing?

No. The true answer is on the subject’s phone alone until everyone has guessed — the app shows only who is in, never what they chose.

How is it scored?

Each right guess is a point to the guesser and a point to the player in the seat. So the best friend who knows you scores, and so do you for being predictable.

Is this the shoe game?

It is the same idea for any size of group: the shoe game asks the couple; here the whole room answers about one person and the app keeps score.
