What playing it feels like
- Words, clues and guessing what the others are thinking.
- Mostly quiet: the action happens on each player’s own screen.
- Plays well on a video call — the talking happens on camera and the app does the rest.
- Nothing to explain. Start it and go.
Good for
- Groups of 2 to 30
- Big groups, where most games run out of seats
- A proper evening rather than a filler

- You only have ten minutes
Everyone gets a 5×5 bingo card of things meetings always say: "you're on mute", "can you see my screen?", "let's take this offline". When you hear one on your card, tap it, and it is called for the whole room. The first person with a full line presses BINGO.
Paper buzzword bingo has one problem: nobody can check a claim, and nobody wants to be the person reading out a colleague's card. Here the app is the referee. Cards are dealt so no two match, called phrases are marked on every card that has them, and a BINGO is only accepted when the line really is complete.
Play it during a real meeting in Heard it mode, where the meeting is the caller, or switch to Auto and the app calls a phrase every few seconds, for a quick game at the end of a Friday call. There are packs for meeting classics, video-call chaos, corporate jargon and a Desi Office pack ("please do the needful", "kindly revert"), and the host can add phrases their own team overuses.
How to play Meeting Bingo
- 1Create a room and share the 6-letter code before the meeting. Two to thirty players, each with a different card.
- 2Pick who calls: Heard it (everyone taps phrases as they hear them) or Auto (the app calls one every few seconds).
- 3When a phrase is called it is marked on every card that has it. The centre square is free.
- 4Five in a row, a column or a diagonal is a line. When yours is complete the BINGO button lights up, and the first to press it wins.
- 5The host can take back a phrase nobody actually said, and can play for a line, a full card, or both.
Meeting Bingo FAQ
Can people cheat by tapping every phrase?
Every call is shown to the room with the caller's name on it, each person can call only one phrase every few seconds, and the host can take back any call nobody really heard. Most teams find the public credit is enough to keep it honest.
Will it distract from the meeting?
Less than you would think. Marking is automatic, so you only look down when you hear something on your card or when BINGO lights up. Plenty of teams save it for recurring all-hands and status calls.
Does it work with Zoom, Google Meet and Teams?
Yes. It runs in a browser tab or on your phone, next to whatever call software you use. Nothing is installed and nobody signs up.
Can we use our own buzzwords?
Yes. The host can add a list of phrases their own team says too often, and they are mixed into the cards for that room only.
Can we play without a meeting?
Switch the caller to Auto and the app calls a phrase every few seconds, so it works as a quick game on its own.
